Research Projects

Our research strives to address applied questions related to soil health and nutrient management. We primarily work in agronomic systems and actively engage farmers through on-farm research and extension programing. Collectively, our interests are diverse, as we conduct research on a wide range of topics including:

  • Developing soil health testing methods

  • Building organic matter pools through reduced tillage and cover crops

  • Developing best management practices for perennial grain crops

  • Understanding how pipeline installation impacts crop productivity

  • Applied nutrient management (updating fertilizer recommendations, product testing)
