OSU Extension hosted the 2025 Small Grain Field Day on June 18 at Schaffter Farm on the Wooster Campus, running from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event was sponsored by Ohio Corn and Wheat and featured sessions on agronomy, soil fertility, plant breeding, pest and disease management, and strategies to improve wheat profitability and grain quality.
Dr. Rakkar and Ben Robinson from the Soil Fertility and Soil Health Lab attended the event to share general fertility recommendations for wheat and provided updates on their ongoing project, “Wheat Nutrient Management to Maximize Profit.”
