On June 10, 2025, OEFFA (Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association) hosted the first-ever Soil Health Luncheon at the Ohio Statehouse. The event brought together farmers, researchers, NRCS staff, policy advocates, and Ohio legislators to explore how policy, outreach, and research can work together to strengthen soil health across the state.
Dr. Rakkar teamed up with Dr. Jim Ippolito to share insights on connecting research with state-level decision-making. The luncheon sparked valuable conversations and helped build momentum for future collaboration between scientists and policymakers.
